League CANCER NAPLES
The history of the Province of Naples Section of the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer (LILT -Naples) is closely correlated with that of Headquarters (LILT) located Roma.La LILT works in the field of cancer in Italy for over 80 years and today is the only public body under the patronage of the President of the Republic, associative character, engaged in the fields of cancer prevention, early diagnosis, care, rehabilitation, health education and ricerca.Dopo becoming a non-profit corporation, the LILT is organized in 103 provincial sections. LILT-Naples is one of the first provincial sections created. The Provincial Departments are structures consisting of peripherals such as Voluntary Associations, and in many cases has been recognized as a NPO (nonprofit organization). In each section, you will find in addition to members, volunteers and conscientious objectors, including a team of oncologists, psychologists and social workers who will be happy to give you information on local activities and services offered. The Naples-
LILT works on membership and collaborates with the State, regions, municipalities Cancer and other institutions. It deals with:
· Information and Health Education, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Province of Naples, Campania Region, the Department of Education and the health authorities by publishing numerous pamphlets and, since 1985, the quarterly magazine "Life Goal";.jpg)
· Prevention Primary, both with Combat Tobacco Smoke, organizing in-house courses to stop smoking, held in Naples, each year, May 31, the World No Tobacco Day, insisting in propaganda against the smoking in schools (Project Quadrifoglio), promoting healthy eating to help prevent cancer through conferences and publications of informative brochures.jpg)
· Prevention Secondary, with the management of clinics scattered throughout the Province of Naples
· Fund raising and organizing benefit performances and other events. The Naples-
LILT works thanks to membership fees and donations of citizens and public and private organizations. Every day men and women, young and old LILT help both with their financial support is spending their time and their energy in looking after the malati.Il our main effort in the near future is to become fully oriented association the needs of our members and the general public, providing the best services for the prevention and early detection of cancer.
